TEXAS APPLESEED REBRAND
Fall 2017

CONTEXT
Texas Appleseed is changing lives everyday, however few people outside the legal community are aware of their work. For Appleseed to gain ground as an organization, they need to become a brand that is memorable, approachable and engages with the community before the community is forced to engage with them.
GOAL
Appleseed’s success is directly attributable to the active pro bono lawyers and other professionals that volunteer their time to identify innovative solutions to startling controversial issues in Texas. In this conceptual rebrand project, I wanted to ensure a process so simple that someone even considering to volunteer or donate could have easy access to all the resources they need to do so. Alongside this, the objective of my design is to be able to reach out to the community with a strong voice, in turn raising their curiosity and bringing them to the website where the real magic happens (education of the issues!) The play on transparency, my written copy text and half-covered images focuses on the idea that Texas Appleseed is revealing issues and uncovering solutions in our society.
MY ROLE
This was a hypothetical project from Branding class at The University of Texas. I designed the logo, wrote the content, conceptualized the campaign and website, and designed the icons.
